Winding Stair Gardens, Franklin, NC – We’re an independent native plant nursery and garden center in the southern Appalachian Mountains, specializing in regionally appropriate native plants including trees, shrubs, perennials, and ferns well-suited to western North Carolina and the broader mountain South. Our nursery manager, Greg Mason, is a landscape architect with a strong focus on ecological planting, and helping our customers create habitat for birds, pollinators, and wildlife is very much at the heart of what we do.

Recreative Natives, Cropwell, AL- We area small nursery specializing in the propagation of plants native to Alabama and the Southeast. Our plants are pesticide free and we collect our own local eco-type seeds in order to increase the biodiversity of native flora. Our goal is to make native plants more accessible for the home landscape in order to protect all the fauna that depend on them.  Open Saturday or by appointment
