Cornell University Master Naturalist Program: The Master Naturalist Program is a high-quality, science-based training program designed to teach adults about New York’s natural resources, empowering them to educate others and participate in on-the-ground conservation management projects.
Torrey Botanical Society–an organization comprised of people interested in plant life, including professional and amateur botanists, students, and others who simply like to enjoy nature. We offer free lectures and fieldtrips to the public.
Niagara Frontier Botanical Society–The study of local native plants–and public education about plants and their habitats and how rare plants and important habitats may be endangered. Founded in 1983 and is an affiliate of the Buffalo Museum of Science. We publish a bimonthly journal entitled Clintonia, which is devoted to native flora and general botanical topics.
